Message to Healthcare Workers

Dietpharm sincerely thanks all healthcare professionals: doctors, nurses, epidemiologists, laboratory technicians… and especially pharmacists and pharmaceutical technicians who daily put themselves at risk for the greater good of society.

PharmaS Donates COVID-19 Treatment Medication to Croatian Hospitals

We are pleased to share that PharmaS, the parent company of Dietpharm, will donate 400,000 tablets of chloroquine phosphate—one of the most essential medicines in the upcoming period—to Croatian hospitals. This quantity is sufficient to treat approximately 20,000 COVID-19 patients.

The medication was produced in India, and PharmaS received import approval from the competent authorities (HALMED). It is included in Croatian COVID-19 treatment guidelines. The donation has been allocated according to the needs of hospitals across Croatia to ensure the medication is administered under professional supervision.

“Importing this medication took place at a time when India, the world’s largest producer of malaria medication, declared a quarantine and banned exports of vital COVID-19 treatments. Thanks to the extraordinary effort of PharmaS staff, the Indian Embassy in Croatia, diplomatic activities by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Pharmaceutical Chamber, the medicine is finally on its way to Croatia. We expect distribution to hospitals at the beginning of next week. This crisis is a huge challenge for all of us. We can only fight this epidemic together, and we believe this donation will help doctors in the fight against the global pandemic,” said PharmaS CEO Jerko Jakšić.

Encouraged by the current situation and high demand, the Rakitje plant has also started producing antiseptics, and the first batch (10,000 bottles) under the brand PharmaSept will also be donated to healthcare staff.
