NOTICE ON PHOTOGRAPHY AND FILMING AT THE MEMO - MAKULIN EXPERT MEETING IN OPHTHALMOLOGY CONGRESS

Dear participants,

We hereby wish to inform you that the MEMO congress, held in Dubrovnik from March 23 to 26, 2023, is being photographed and filmed for the purposes of:

·      ensuring the safety of persons and property and

·      promotion of the congress.

By participating in the MEMO congress, your personal data (photograph and/or recording) will be collected and processed exclusively for the stated purposes, and we will use them for publication on websites and social networks, for creating internal reports between the Data Controller, Data Processor, partners, and sponsors of the festival, and for publication in electronic, print, and digital media for promotional and marketing purposes.

The photography and filming of events and the use of photographs and video footage for the above-mentioned purposes are carried out based on legitimate interest, all with the aim of ensuring the highest quality promotion of the business activities of the event we organize so that it becomes recognizable in the media and better in the future, and for ensuring the safety of persons and property and compliance with rules of conduct.

If you do not wish to be photographed or filmed, please inform the photographers or the congress organizers. We will also, upon your request, remove any photograph or recording in which you are recognizable or visible in a close-up.

The obtained data will be available to the Data Controller, Data Processors, and may also be forwarded to:

·               media houses and digital marketing agencies for the purpose of publishing photographs and recordings in electronic, print, and digital media;

·               public authorities when required by applicable law, legitimate or public interest;

·               official event photographers and videographers.
